FAQs

Questions, Answered

Which grades are available?

Kindergarten through Grade 5. Open a grade on the Curriculum page to see its units, or try its lessons.

Can I use CoveDay with more than one child?

Yes. Each child has their own grade, lessons, progress and pacing. Spanish is one lesson for all of them together. The family price includes 3 children; each additional child is $5 a month, $25 a year or $50 once with the lifetime plan.

Can one subject move faster than another?

Yes. On a child's Roadmap, set any subject to a different week or lesson. The other subjects stay where they are. Moving ahead doesn't mark skipped lessons done, and going back keeps the earlier records.

How much will I need to print?

About one page per lesson for each daily subject: roughly 25 pages a week per child in Grades 1–5 and about 20 in Kindergarten, plus the week's quizzes. See How much work is this?

Can my child work on their own?

An adult teaches every lesson from the script. Older children can do the worksheet on their own once the taught part is done.

What device do we need?

A computer or tablet with a current browser and an internet connection. A phone is fine for checking the day. You need a printer for worksheets.

Is the curriculum religious?

Bible is optional: one lesson a week, which you turn on or off in Settings. Other subjects mention religion where it is part of the topic, such as holidays like Christmas, and religion in ancient civilizations in history.

How do pricing and the trial work?

Paid plans aren't open; signups are by invitation during the beta. The planned price is $15 a month, $100 a year or $249 once for lifetime family access. There's no timed trial; the sample lessons are free with no account.

What does lifetime access mean?

Lifetime access lasts for as long as CoveDay remains in business. The lifetime plan has no recurring renewals. See the terms.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

Cancel any time. Lesson access ends right away and the current month/year payment, or the full one-time lifetime payment including additional children, is refunded. Your records stay readable.

Does this meet Virginia's homeschool requirements?

Lessons follow the Virginia Standards of Learning. Finishing them doesn't by itself meet Virginia's home-instruction requirements, such as the yearly evidence of progress. See the Curriculum page for the law.

Where do I get help?

Signed-in families can use “Report a problem” on any lesson, or the Support page.

What happens to beta families?

They keep their access. Any change for beta families will be explained to them separately.
